1989 - Kit and Shireen Morris founded Bottlegreen and produced their first bottle of Elderflower Cordial from locally abundant elderflowers

1st Citrus Presse

1990 - We started experimenting with different flavours and types of drink and launched our first small 25cl ready to drink Citrus and Elderflower Pressé.

1992 - Two years later we launched a large 75cl ready to drink Elderflower Pressé.

1993 - As the business grew, we needed to be able to meet the increasing demand for our drinks so moved to larger premises at Frogmarsh Mill in South Woodchester, where we still are. The underground spring is sourced beneath the mill and is used to form the basis of all our drinks.

1994 - We launched our first 3% alcoholic Elderflower Spritzer - a combination of dry white wine, fresh elderflowers and Cotswold spring water.

1995 - We started exporting our products abroad and We won the IFE Show Stopper Award and the 'Scothot' New Products Award for our Bottlegreen Elderflower Spritzer

1996 - We expanded our range of cordials to include Limeflower & Lime and Ginger & Lemongrass. That year our New Product Development (NPD) department was on a roll and we also launched a range of still Coolers.

1997 - Our Ginger & Lemongrass cordial proved so popular we developed a presse version, in both 25cl and 75cl bottles. We also launched a light version of our ever popular Elderflower Presse.

1999 - Our iconic, curvy Presse bottle which is still used today, was launched in both 25cl and 75cl.

2001 - Our stylish, cordial bottle was launched and new factory machinery was installed. The Bottlegreen logo was redesigned and the first roundel logo was developed.

2002 - The distinctive Bottlegreen roundel, which is still used today, was tweaked and rolled out across all packaging and marketing material.

2003 - The wellbeing cordial range including Dandelion & Burdock, Raspberry & Lovage and Honey & Lemonbalm were developed and launched into the cordial market.

2004 - The cordial and 75cl presse labels were re-designed

2005 - The Bottlegreen team get chilly spending lots of time making our first ever range of sorbets using our best cordial flavours - Elderflower, Ginger & Lemongrass and English Summer!

2006 - Our sorbets were such a hit we decided to launch sorbet lollies, posh lollies for kids and adults! We also launched our famous Elderflower drink in a still version in a convenient tetra packs.

2007 - has been all go! We won the prestigious Good Housekeeping Award for The Best Soft Drink of 2007!

We improved and extended the entire factory increasing production capability and efficiency.

We re-launched our 25cl presse range with a stylish new label and added new flavours to the range including Pomegranate & Elderflower, Blackcurrant & Blueberry, Cranberry & Acai and Cox's Apple. We also extended the 75cl range by launching Pomegranate & Elderflower and Cranberry & Acai in new clear glass bottles.

As our team continues to grow we recently moved our main offices into a larger room within the mill site. The main part of the room is a listed building and was once where the owner of the mill lived with their servants. The beautiful original beams and sloping ceilings make it a picturesque office to work in!
